We have just celebrated our 10th anniversary of our partnership with the One Foundation. We donate 3p for every litre of our Fairbourne Springs water sold, to fund clean, safe water projects in Africa. It’s the only charitable partnership of an own label water in the UK.

To mark this special anniversary, we’re extending our 3p per litre donation to our own brand flavoured waters from January 2017 – adding around an extra 30% to our donations.

This extra 30% will make a huge difference, because we’ve already helped change the lives of over 1.5 million people. You might be surprised to hear that of the £10m distributed by the One Foundation to date, £7m came from sales of our Fairbourne Springs water.

Our support for the One Foundation improves the lives of communities in so many ways – children can go to school because they don’t have to spend their day collecting water; farmers can grow crops and earn a living; and communities are safe from water-borne diseases. And because it’s Co-op branded, every bottle you buy also gives 1% back to a local cause of your choice, and 5% for yourself too – even more reasons to choose it over other bottled water.

You can see first-hand what our support means in the short YouTube video below. It’s shot in Malawi, where we invested £1.4m to drill new boreholes, install new pumps and train local people to maintain the wells.

  1. Great news. It is wonderful to be part of helping to make lives so much better. For those of us who never buy bottled water, can we contribute through 5 plus 1 ?
