Applications for the next round our Local Community Fund close on 25th January. We’ve had more than 4,500 applications, but we’re still looking for causes in many of our communities. Do you know a local charity, sports club, church, scout or guide group that needs funding for a project to benefit their community?
We’ll be giving millions of pounds to local causes next year, you can show you care and help make sure that all of our members have a choice of causes by:
- Using our postcode checker to see if we are still looking for applications in your area and telling the causes you care about to apply
- Sending this blog post to your friends and family and asking them to spread the word
You can search here for local registered charities or community amateur sports club, we’ve extended the types of causes that can benefit for this round and we’re getting lots of great applications from sports clubs to keep our communities active and healthy.

Hi we are running a sports event at the local school all
Profit to go to the church. The coop on Lancaster Road is always super supportive of the school and church. We heard that the Coop is looking fir events such as these now to support?! Is that correct!?

I belong to the salvation army in Waltham abbey and we are trying to raise money to get some new chairs and carpets. And tablets If we got some help it would be great.thanking you Brenda Square

My local Tennis Club are looking to replace our floodlights as we only have 2 working. The Club have a small amount in their savings account but need a considerable amount more. Can we apply to yourselves for help at the moment even though the Project might not go ahead until next year – 2018?
