Our members have voted and now we’re pleased to announce that the first-ever Co-op member-designed wine will be a Californian Pinot Grigio.

Over 1,000 members joined in to have their say on the variety of grape that we’ll be using – the first of many decisions we’re handing over to members as we work together to create our first Co-op member wine ready to hit the shelves in October this year.

Pinot Grigio emerged as the clear favourite, with almost 6 out of 10 members voting for its punchy green apple and citrus aromas. Across the pond, our friends at the O’Neill winery in the heart of California’s Central Valley are now getting to work to create something incredibly special with our members.

What we need next is a name.

We’re asking members to uncork their creativity and come up with a great name for the wine. Click here to sign into your member account, join in and make your suggestion.

Our wine team will then create a shortlist and members will vote to determine which name we go ahead with.

But, the member design challenge doesn’t stop there. If you’re a member, there are plenty more opportunities to join in:
