In just over one year, over 1 million pints of Co-op Golden Ale, India Pale Ale (IPA) and Triple Hop have been sold. It was our Co-op Members who helped shape these beers by joining in #TheCoopWay to pen tasting notes on the bottle labels.
Brewed by the best
We partnered with the historic family-run brewery, Robinsons (where Co-op Member Sam visited in the video) to brew these special beers and asked our members to write their own tasting notes for the labels.

Based in the heart of Stockport for almost two centuries, Robinsons is one of the oldest and most respected names in British brewing history and still remains a proud family-run independent brewer; now the legacy of the sixth generation of the Robinson family. Robinsons is also home to one of the most advanced and sophisticated breweries in the UK with a worldwide reputation for beer quality.
Our Co-op beers
The three ales, Co-op Golden Ale, IPA and Triple Hop are each brewed with fresh spring water filtered down from the Peak District National Park, which purifies as it filters down through the sandstone and collects in the well which sits underneath Robinsons Brewery.
