Musical Connections is a charity based in York, offering lots of different musical activities for the more vulnerable members of the public. Our cause provides weekly music groups to tenants in sheltered housing and residential homes residents. We also have two community choirs and host Big Sing events throughout the year.

Thanks to the support of Co-op Members through the Local Community Fund, we are now able to offer our transport to residents who live in more remote areas. These socially isolated people can now attend our musical events and mix with younger generations.

Without the support of funds like the Co-op’s Local Community Fund, we wouldn’t be able to help as many vulnerable members of our community. The fun, excitement, enthusiasm and sense of community our musical activities bring is important. The fact that people aren’t just sat at home in front of the telly and are instead making connections with others really makes a difference. We are ever so thankful to Co-op Members who have chosen to support our cause, it really is making a difference.

The fact that Co-op Members have helped raise 19 million for local causes like ours across the UK, by buying selected Co-op branded products and services* is amazing.
