Every year, Co-op Members have the opportunity to have their say on how we do business by voting at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and electing our Member Nominated Directors (MNDs) and Council Members.
On the 18 May 2019 our AGM will take place in Manchester. We’d love to see you there but you don’t need to come along to let us know your views. You can vote online or by post by midday on 13 May.

This year, we’re asking for your support for our key campaign: Safer Colleagues, Safer Communities. Nothing is more important to us than keeping our colleagues safe but we can’t do this alone; we want to see lasting change for the retail industry as a whole. Please use your vote to help us take action.
Our Members’ Council is also asking you to support motions on areas which have been core to our co-op difference over many years: responsible sourcing and Fairtrade. Your Board has added its support to these motions too.
If you’re an eligible member, you should have already received your AGM voting invitation by email or post. If you haven’t had yours, call us on 0800 023 4708.

Thank you for helping us to shape the future.
Allan Leighton
Chair of the Co-op Group Board

Reading all the comments on Facebook, people saying how good the prices are, why then in Stornoway are your prices so much higher on most products? Given the buying power of the Co-op from the Shetlands to the Channel Islands, one would hope for fairer prices across the entire UK.

Every year there is a motion for continual funding of the cooperative party, which is labour affiliated. Now we are running the safer collesgues campaign with USDAW which too is also labour affiliated, but as a cooperative shouldn’t polital view be aside from our values and principals, and be neutral to allow our business to do better business, and allow for cross party recognition of our stratagies.
