The Co-op was founded over 175 years ago, to share the value we create with our members and with their communities. The coronavirus pandemic has shown that our communities need our help now more than ever, and we wanted our membership offering to step up and do even more for them.  

So, from today, when our members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, we’ll double what they give to support their communities.

From today, when you choose Co-op and swipe your membership card or scan your phone using the Co-op App, 2p for every pound spent on selected Co-op branded products and services goes to you and we’ll give the same to thousands of community causes.

A donation gives a helping hand to local grassroots causes close to your home and close to your heart, which you can choose on the Co-op App. A donation also goes to create lasting change on big issues we care about – such as access to food, mental wellbeing support and education – in partnership with like-minded organisations.  

As well as supporting local communities like never before, Co-op Members also receive exclusive Member deals from Food, Funeralcare, Insurance and Legal Services as well as personalised offers every week, chosen just for them. 

Making the most of the personalised offers and the new membership reward could see our members save £15.66 a month. 

What’s more, if you act fast, members using the new Co-op app have the opportunity to redeem a free Co-op ‘Irresistible’ Fairtrade 100g chocolate bar, to celebrate the our new membership.

  1. This is disingenuous. Nowhere do you mention that you are reducing the member reward to just 2p in the pound. Many on low incomes relied on this “divi” for Christmas and to help them through these hard times. But I suppose a headline of “WE’RE HALVING MEMBER REWARDS” isn’t quite so eye catching

  2. Hi John, application for next year round of causes closed in Spring and we’re going through the selection process. Successful causes will be contact directly over the next few months. I’d advise that you update this comment or delete it as currently you have shared your email address publicly. ^Cat
