What is Social Hub?
Social Hub features exclusive social media content, from current campaigns and competitions to the latest news articles and Colleague Stories. Every time you share a piece of content, you earn yourself points. Earn enough points each month and you will be in with the chance of winning amazing Co-op prizes!
How do I login?
Social Hub is accessed through SSO (Single Sign On). That’s the same details you use to access MyApps and Outlook emails. Your username is your colleague ID. You’ll be asked some screener questions to help customize the Social Hub site for you, and you’ll also be asked to input an email address so we can let you know about rewards and badges etc.
Having trouble logging in? Follow these steps below to help troubleshoot:
I don’t know my credentials/can’t remember my SSO password.
Your User Name is your Employee ID, and your password will be the same as the one you use for MyHR/Outlook (your National Insurance Number if you have never changed it) – these are known as your Single Sign On (SSO) credentials.
If you do not remember these, click ‘Problems signing in?’ and follow the instructions to reset your password.
I have reset my password but still unable to get access
If you still experience problems, try using a different browser or clearing your cache/cookies, and refreshing the page.
What mobiles & browsers are supported?
Social Hub is compatible with the current version and one most recent version of FireFox, Safari, and Chrome browsers on both Mac, PC and Smartphone. Internet Explorer is not supported but Microsoft Edge is.
I have inputted my details and completed the screener questions, but I am unable to submit my answers as the button won’t show up.
Ensure your browser is zoomed all the way out, or continue to zoom out until you see the submit button.
If you continue to experience issues logging in from a browser, you can always try the Social Hub App!
Download Sprinklr Extend from wherever you get your Apps. You’ll be prompted to Enter Company Name – enter coopsocialhub, then continue to sign in using the information above.
How do I connect my Social Media accounts?
In the top right hand corner, you will see either your initial or a profile picture.
Click on this, select ‘Settings’ and then choose ‘Accounts’ to view all of your connected accounts.
From there, use the + icon next to each platform to connect your accounts and begin sharing. For a more detailed overview, click here.
How do I share content?
Click on the arrow beneath the piece of content you wish to share.
You will then be able to choose which platform you would like to share this to.
Note: For Twitter and Linkedin, we will always populate the text box with some suggested copy for you to use, including any hashtags and handles that you should include. However, we would always encourage you to tweak this to make it sound more personable to you, and help your friends and family understand why you are sharing it.
If you would like a more detailed overview of how to share to the different platforms, click here.
I want to share the content to a profile that isn’t listed?
Content is sometimes only designed for one or two of the platforms, for example, it may be relevant for Twitter only and not Facebook/Instagram/Linkedin. If the platform you wish you share the content to does not appear on the list, this is likely due to it not being available on that platform, and doesn’t mean your accounts have become disconnected.
This error has come up, what should I do?
When/where should I use it?
To use Social Hub, you’re required to login to your personal social media accounts. Social Hub is a voluntary tool to help colleagues share Co-op news and talk about Co-op when they want to on their personal social media accounts. Social Hub is not supported by Co-op devices and networks and should only be logged in to on your own personal device, outside of work hours. Please remember to follow the Co-op Colleague Social Media Policy when you do share.
How do the prizes work?
Every time you share a piece of content, you are awarded points. Each month, all colleagues who have earned a minimum of 15 points will be placed in to a random prize draw to win some amazing prizes. We will also award £50 worth on credit on to the Membership Card of the colleague who earns the highest numbers of points.
What are the prizes?
The prizes offered will vary each month. Previous prizes have included a Co-op Radio takeover and Co-op vouchers. Find the Terms and conditions here.
